When Literature gave me the master for their HELLO BERLIN cassette that was released in the spring, I thought I got the wrong tape. I couldn't fathom how they got so unbelievably good - I mean, don't get me wrong, they were good when they came around in 2009, but that new material was something else entirely. These two new songs are even better: perfectly balanced power pop that sounds like the best of Pulp and Teenage Fanclub. It blows my mind that a band this good is just three kids who used to live in the valley and one sharp dressed man named Kevin. There must be something in the water down there in Austin TX - too bad you have to go to Texas to find out!
